Walking in the Fann mountains, Tajikistan.. Across the river was what looked like the remains of an old village. I hopped over to discover it was still inhabited. I gestured to ask two elderly women if I could take a photograph of them. When I came over they insisted I sat with them on their little stone platform, poured me green tea and brought me homemade bread and yoghurt.

I hitchhiked / couchsurfed my way across the United States from Washington DC to Denver in 2014.
