About Me

Hello CS Family!
*Currently in Istanbul
I am Harun, i’m a law student in Istanbul. Studying law was something I wanted as a kid. That's why I love studying law. Among the most important things that video games have given me are taking risks and being competitive.
The phrase "Positivity always wins" is important to me. Because I act according to this promise in crisis management.
I respect people's ideas and opinions. I am open minded and easy to deal with.
As a "Volunteer Youth Camp Leader" in my own country, I carry out a volunteer activity.

Volunteering activities have an important place in my life. Planting saplings, delivering food to homeless people, spending time with people with congenital disabilities, reading books to the elderly are some of them.
I love animals and I have a naughty 6 year old cat. He currently lives with my family. I created a social media account to help stray animals in the city where I was born (Osmaniye). Thanks to social media, I reach more volunteers.

As I live in a shared home, I can't always accept accommodation, but if you can't find a last-minute accommodation, you can spend the night here (probably).
Welcome to my home, regardless of religion, language, race, color, gender.

PHILOSOPHY
Excitement and curiosity...
I am curious and excited like a little child. Something I don't know, I don't hesitate to ask someone else! I am always open to learning new things, I do not avoid research. I am aware that the most effective way to learn something is to be as excited and curious as a little child.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A question is always asked: Does he who reads a lot or does he who travels a lot? I always give the answer: The one who reads while traveling knows. To travel with someone who has read; To me, it's as good as reading.
I am here to explore new places, to meet new people and different cultures while exploring these places, and to collect good memories while doing these.

Interests

PHOTOGRAPHY: I work as a photographer at the hotel during the summer months. I love taking nature photos.

SWIMMING: It can't be said that I spend a lot of time in normal times, but I definitely swim every day in summer.

VIDEO GAMES: I believe that video games develop intelligence, thinking ability and entrepreneurship. I've been playing games since I was 10 years old, but I'm not antisocial. Some games I play: Valorant, Metin2, Darkorbit, Chess.

ANIMALS: I have kept different kinds of animals until now. Chameleon, ant, parrot, cat, dog, snake, turtle, crab. I currently only have a 6 year old cat. He lives in my parents' house.

LANGUAGE LEARNING: Since I work in a hotel, I can speak languages such as Russian, German, Slovak, although not very well. Why not more?

TRAVEL: I love exploring new places, meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

COOKING: I learned after coming to Italy. I enjoy cooking, it's also fun to eat :)

BASKETBALL: I played continuously for 1 year. After that, I only continued to play basketball between neighborhoods. Needless to say, I don't have much time to spare right now. I am an Anadolu Efes fan. During my life in Istanbul, I go to most of the matches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took 140,000 steps in 4 days. I'm such a crazy wanderer. I felt nothing as I was constantly exploring new places, but when my trip was over, my feet were not moving!

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is meaningful when you teach something you learned to someone else.
I have a Nikon professional camera. I can teach those who are interested.
I can also use Photoshop professionally. I can pass on my experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect, Silence and Smile
I always respect people's lives. Because it's their choice! Of course, I also like to chat, but generally I have a quiet and calm personality. I believe that smiling gives energy and peace, even if nothing is spoken.
