Hello! I'm a freshman-to-be at Portland State University in Oregon, USA. Here's a little about me: I spent my senior year of high school living and studying in Germany for almost 11 months as a Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX/PPP) participant! I lived with a host family in the beautiful Rheinland-Pfalz and attended a local gymnasium with no prior German knowledge. My exchange was and will forever be one of the most amazing and worthwhile experiences of my life and really sparked my interest in getting to know the world and the people in it better. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and new cultures. Being at a point where I'm unsure about what I want to pursue as a career/life in the future, I think trying new things and learning everything I can will help me figure out what I want to do and who I want to become. I'm open to forming relationships with people all around the world and having quality and fun conversations about anything!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like indie, folk, alternative, but I'll listen to and like nearly anything with no judgement. Play me your favorites! Movies: love, love movies. Just about any kind. It's hard to choose favorites. Books: haven't done too much reading since mandatory stuff in high school but I love anything from cheesy romance to horror. Open to recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Trained and raised a guide dog for Guide Dogs for the Blind! Liesl now happily doubles as my best friend and partner in crime. Flew halfway across the world by myself to live in an unfamiliar country with an unfamiliar country for a year (and survived!) Managed to still be able to fit into my retainer after not wearing it for 4 months
