About Me

I'm back from a little hiatus. I'm a bit busy these days but have pockets of availability here and there! I will update this profile later... I'm no longer as ratchet as this profile portrays to be (old age has crept up on me) #reformt

NOTE: I will be traveling for the following dates listed below. Sorry, no couch available :(

Los Angeles, California: March 13 - March 15
Las Vegas, Nevada: March 16 - March 20
Nashville, Tennessee: April 3 - April 6
Siargao, Philippines: May 14 - May 23
Manila, Philippines: May 23 - May 27
San Diego, California: May 28 - May 31
Mexico City, Mexico: June 10 - June 14
Lake Tahoe, Nevada: July 24 - July 26
Burning Man: August 30 - September 7

Yes, I am a motherfucking mermaid. The name is lldrich, but everyone calls me Haute Mess (fake news! I made it up, people call me by my name). Originally from the Philippines. Grew up in Las Vegas. Currently spreading ratchetry in Seattle. I like to eat, drink, and twerk. I'm super easy going and enjoy pretty much everything. Seriously, I'm down for whatever... from a crazy night out of dancing to hiking to camping to just chilling and drinking at a random dive bar. Try me.

I enjoy traveling alone, so naturally, couchsurfing is the perfect fit for me. I've been an active member since 2010 and I can honestly say that I've met a good chunk of who I consider my good friends through couchsurfing. I would not have been able to travel to all the places I've been to if it wasn't for couchsurfing. As such, I try to give back to the CS community by hosting travelers as much as I can.

Below are the four things I look at when I evaluate requests from surfers:

1. Substance of request (personalized vs copy + paste)
2. Profile information (are we a good fit? am I gonna learn something new from you?)
3. Order of requests (first come, first serve)

Also, please include the following information in your request. It helps me weed out people that send mass copy + paste requests:

1. Why do you want surf my couch?
2. Why should I host you?
3. If you could be Beyonce for one day, what would Queen Bey do?
4. y = mx + b. Calculate the slope of the line if the y-intercept is 69.

Just kidding about the last one. Ha!

You probably don't give a shit, but here's my Instagram account for my travel adventures. It should give you a taste of my life/personality: https://instagram.com/_haute_mess/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To twerk all over the world and spread ratchetry to defeat ISIS. I also enjoy adventures with random strangers with funny accents.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Hip-Hop and electronic music in general. Deep house, trance, techno, tech-house, and trap are a huge plus. Pretty much anything that will give me the urge to twerk like a two-dollar whore will do the trick.

Movies: I like comedy, independent foreign films, and documentaries: Y tu Mamá También | Maria Full of Grace | Un Prophete | Beautiful Boxer | Paris is Burning | Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

Books: How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken for 7 years?
