Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This July, I’m kicking off a new little adventure: a 3-month bike tour—beginner legs, big heart—hopefully across the Balkans. I’m excited for tired legs, open landscapes, spontaneous encounters, and all the things you can’t plan.

Couchsurfing, for me, is more than just a place to sleep. It’s a doorway into real life in a new place. I love meeting people in their natural element, sharing stories, cooking together (especially local dishes!), and creating connections that go beyond borders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I stumbled upon 18 wild boars, discovered an irresistibly cute baby garden dormouse (look it up—it’s adorable!), and spotted an ermine in both its snowy white and earthy brown coats—all while living alone in a beautiful, remote farmhouse in Switzerland.
