ABOUT ME

I'm Helen - a girl from the beautiful city of Lucerne (Switzerland)! I grew up in Lucerne and lived there my whole life. This summer I finished my apprenticeship at the Theater. Now I want to explore the world and start with the magnificent USA.

Nina and I are traveling through the Stats together right now. We started with New York City, gone up to Chicago, and after the windy city we visited for some days Minneapolis - now we are in Seattle. After that, we go to Portland, San Francisco, Big Sur, Santa Barbara and last and not least to Los Angles.

After this trip, I'll move to Vienna for a year, explore a new city and country, which I'm really excited about! My plans for Vienna are playing a lot of roller derby, meeting new people and eat as much as I can! Also find a job…

I'm usually not that good in describing myself, so my roommate did it for me:

"she is a fun loving person who is up to any crazy, stupid/ silly thing. she is always doing something,either she is working as a sound engineer, out with friend, playing roller derby, seeing a concert or baking delicisous bread… i cant imagine a better roommate than her!"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Me and my roomies hosted recently a few couch surfers and it was so much fun. I loved to show them around the city and spend time with them.

Now the roles have changed and I'm the couch surfer. It's a whole different way to travel and explore a city - is so much fun. Especially to spend time with local people and see how their every day life is and get the best recommendations for bars/museums etc... I prefer couch surfing so much more than to stay in hostels!

Interests

In my free time I play Roller Derby with a local team in Lucerne, The Hellveticats :)
or go out with my girls - to watch some good shows and grab drinks at bars.
In summer time I spend all of the hot days (there are a few in Switzerland!) at the lake Lucerne and also go swimming in the river Reuss.
In winter time I like to go snowboarding in the mountains near Lucerne.
