CURRENT MISSION Drink all the coffee in the world! ABOUT ME Hey couch surfers, like you, I joined the couch surfing world to meet local people when I travel because it makes travel just.. so much more culturally authentic, memorable and just overall better. I wouldn't have it any other way! I like to keep things light hearted and try to do so when I can by using humor. If you have a knack for really bad puns (my specialty!) then we're going to get along quite well :). Bonus points if you like talking about nerdy stuff and/or random facts! I can be up for all-nighters or just taking it easy and relaxing and not doing anything at all. In my experience, being ready to do anything at a moment's notice makes for a better journey. Back at my home in the states, where the cheese is not the best, I like to go mountain biking, playing music -drums, acoustic guitar and a very small amount of piano-, reading poetry (random, huh?), drinking what is likely a superhuman amount of coffee, and my new obsession, trying new cheeses. PHILOSOPHY Well, that's something much better to discuss in person, eh? ;)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm not able to host, but as someone who is dating someone whose sister-roommate hosts couch surfers, I get to join in the fun of making friends awesome people from around the world! When I surf, I'm very helpful with my host and am generally very clean to make things as stress free as I can. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Plenty.. and so far, all have been great!
Music, Movies, and Books
For music, my current favorites are Deadmau5, Avishai Cohen and Fleet Foxes. My favorite books are The Art of Happiness, The Telltale Brain, White Fang and poetry from Billy Collins and Charles Bukowski. My favorite movies to watch are comedies and horror.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Going on a lower USA tour with a band, spear fishing with my cousin in a coral reef, hitchhiking and doing chemistry research funded by the U.S. Navy and getting to present my findings at a university and national conference.
Teach, Learn, Share
<-- These are a few of my favorite things.
My Interests
Music - I've been drumming for over 14 years now. Actually, I lost count after that. With that in mind, I can tell you that I couldn't have lasted so long if I didn't love every detail of music - performance, composition, recording and everything else under the sun. Nature - I love camping, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and anything that involves exploring nature. Bonus points if it gives an adrenaline rush! I also enjoy art, architecture, poetry, cooking (just a little) and having spontaneous conversations about science!
