About Me

Holá, Cómo estás?
Soy un viajero solitario de China, puedo hablar y entender poquito español.
Mucho gusto!

To me, it’s always the people and their lives that truly matter. I care more about the individual person than the scenery itself, no matter where I am.
P.S. But actually when I was in the area of Apus and Amazonas, I gradually realized that the nature is still keeping me amazed and we human beings are just a small part of it. It feels so refreshing and beautiful to be connected with the nature.

Here’s a young guy from China, curious about people from different backgrounds and cultures, and currently on a long journey across Africa and the Americas. Starting in Egypt, I’ve already traveled through parts of Africa, South America and is about to travel in Central America, I hope to continue discovering more people, cultures, histories, and the stories in between. Besides, I am a big fan of hiking, I have almost done one hike in each country that I have been to.

I genuinely enjoy deep conversations and meaningful exchanges, and I’m always happy to share my journey with others. I’d describe myself as well-educated, sincere, and passionate, hopefully with a decent sense of humor as well.

If you’re interested in China or the Chinese language, I’m always glad to share, thoughtful conversations and reasonably good pronunciation included of course!

I’m not much of a party animal, but I do enjoy quiet moments and early mornings (I usually go to bed before 11 p.m.). I don’t smoke, and I only drink on special occasions.

Looking ahead, I’m also thinking about hosting travelers in Shanghai as a way of giving back. Any host or kind soul I meet along the road would be more than welcome to visit my hometown when I return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

True joy is in the mystery.

As an individual who believes in the idea that we share the same planet and should not be separated by country boarders, languages and politics, I am intended to meet more individuals and get acquainted with people from all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Carried Luis Cernuda’s poetry and met him at his former residence in Sevilla, Spain.

Met over 10 sperm whales during one morning’s snorkeling in Mauritius.

Literally saw no big cats during 4 days’ safari but laughed at it with my friends in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Met friends from Japan again in Cusco, Perú, unexpectedly, whom we had first met in Patagonia one month ago.

Swam in the Amazonas and saw a pink dolphin under the rainbow among Iquitos, Perú.
