About Me

I think it is hard to describe yourself but I'm gonna try. I'm a Brazilian guy who was born in São Paulo and now lives in Salvador. I love learning about other cultures and meeting new people... I think each place is different from another because of its people.

I think it is important saying that I'm a gay guy. This not only describes my sexual practices but I think it molded who I am... I couldn't be the same if I wasn't gay.

Despite that I like meeting all kinds of people from everywhere. So say hello and we can chat (and maybe hangout). 😉

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For meeting people like me and sharing life experiences. Life is about sharing and I really believe that and that's why I'm here.
Places are special just because the people from there and I want to know all that people. =D

Interests

It is complicated... How can I describe my interests? I'm not a sport guy at all, I'm also not a beach guy for sure despite the fact that I live in Salvador.
I think I'm very different from other Brazilian guys but at the same time I think I'm quite similar.

Well I think it's clear that I'm not good at describing myself so you'll have to find out by yourself. 😬

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music styles and I'm extremely echletic. My favourite band ever is Blind Guardian (old formation) and my favourite songs of them are two: The Bard Song (In The Forest) and Precious Jerusalem.

It's curious that I like many other music styles also and Brazilian music is a thing that I love! If you like good music I can show you my favourite Brazilian musicians that you must know for life!

I'm not a movie guy but I love Woody Allen, Stanley Kubric, Coppola and Tarantino. I think my favourite movie ever is... Damn! Difficult. But certainly Pulp Fiction is one of them. Another director that I'm crazy for is Guillermo del Toro and my favourite movie from him os Devil's Spine (Pan's Laberynth is awesome too).

My favourite book is easy: The Physician! Noah Gordon is a genious and this book made me want to study medicine (what I study now). It was really a life changing for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's extremely hard to say but a really nice thing I'm doing right now is working with homeless MSM (Men who have Sex with Men). The focus of my college project is provide dignity and promote health for those people who are invisibilized for the society, government and policies. It is very prepotent from me but I really hope to end the iniquity in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I can't teach much but I speak Portuguese very well... Also as you can see my English is not perfect but I'm trying hard!

I know some about Brazilian culture, music and other stuff. Also my father is Japanese so I know a little bit about Japanese culture and it's cuisine.

My mother's family is from Italy and Portugal so I think I know a little bit about it too. 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life experiences and talk a lot about Brazilian culture. I think it's unique in the world and I'm really proud of being Brazilian.

I can cook some japanese dishes as well so with the right ingredients I can make the second best yakisoba I ever eated in my life! Second because the best yakisoba I ever eated is made for my bachaan (grandma). My pesto sauce is also great! I highly recommend it. =D
