About Me

Hello, everyone!
I’m a Rwandan guy with a deep passion for connecting with people from all around the world. I would describe myself as an extrovert, but I also value those moments where I can switch off, recharge, and reflect. Being young, I’m constantly on a journey of self-discovery, and I truly believe that understanding myself is a crucial part of life.

I was born and raised in Kigali, the beautiful capital city of Rwanda. I live with my family, which consists of my mum, dad, one sister, and one brother—though it feels like there's a lot more of us in the household! We live in a central location, which makes it easy to explore everything the city has to offer. Our home is quite familiar with CouchSurfers, and my family is always eager to meet new travelers from across the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it’s a privilege to live in an age where we can connect with people from all corners of the world. For me, Couchsurfing is an incredible way to not only meet new people but also immerse myself in different cultures, share experiences, and learn about life from diverse perspectives. It’s about building meaningful connections, breaking barriers, and creating memories that go beyond the traditional travel experience. I love being part of a global community where we can offer each other hospitality, and it's an amazing way to learn and grow as a person

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a huge fan of country music—it's what I’m listening to all day, every day! While I do enjoy reading occasionally, I can't quite pick just one favorite book. When it comes to movies, I’m all about action-packed thrillers; the more intense, the better!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve had was walking high above the treetops in Nyungwe National Park during the canopy walk. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and being surrounded by nature in such a unique way made me feel truly connected to the heart of Rwanda. But what really took my breath away was visiting the gorilla family in Volcanoes National Park. To stand so close to these incredible creatures was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. And here’s the most amazing part— the leader of that family, the king of the gorillas, is named Hirwa, just like me! It was such a special and surreal experience, knowing that my name shares a connection with such a majestic creature. Moments like these are a beautiful reminder of how life can surprise you in the most wonderful ways

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m excited to share and teach you about my local culture, from the rich traditions to the unique flavors of Rwandan cuisine. I can also teach you how to cook some of our traditional dishes, so you can truly experience the taste of Rwanda! Aside from that, I’ll make sure you get to see the best of the stunning sights—because Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills, is full of beauty, from its lush landscapes to its vibrant communities. I want you to leave feeling deeply connected with Rwanda and its people, leaving with unforgettable memories of this incredible country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

"I’m happy to share my home and all the facilities to make my guests feel comfortable and at ease. From providing a cozy bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washing machine, to anything else that may be available, I want to ensure that my guests have everything they need. Above all, the most important thing to me is creating an atmosphere where guests feel at home—relaxed, comfortable, and welcomed. I truly believe that a guest’s comfort is key, and I’ll do everything I can to make them feel like they’re part of the family."
