About Me
Hi, This is Hoa from Vietnam, a dream maker, a traveler, and someone trying to create a life worth living.
Some say, “Our parents don’t see us as we are — they see the kid they remember. Our friends don’t see us as we are — they see the friends they remember. Only a stranger met on your travels sees you as you truly are right now.”
So in order to truly look at who I am and who strangers I meet on the way are, I go places.
I'm much more interested in cultural conflicts or historical backgrounds or unique traditions than the surface of the land I step into. To me, a dynamic 2-hour conversation with a curious local is worth more than 3 days of taking pictures around knowing nothing. I call that "deep travel". Sounds hilarious, isn't it? But that's my preference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about a free place to stay. It’s about cultural exchange, good conversations, shared meals, and seeing a city through the eyes of someone who actually lives there. I really enjoy listening to people’s stories, learning about local customs, and sharing experiences from my own background as well.
The world feels closer and less divided when I meet people on Couchsurfing and I am grateful to have a chance to meet you all.
