I'm an Asian American from Chicago on working holiday in new Zealand, currently based in Wellington. Keen to hear from locals, travelers, working holidayer and open to travel buddies. I would like to visit South Island and Northland some day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wanna befriend like-minded adventurous worldy people and hearing about their experiences. Hanging out over meals and drinks. Open go splitting accomadation or joining along a planned itinerary with other travelers. I'm very spontaneous and go with the flow, which has led to really cool travel stories! Always learning tips and tricks of backpacking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw a music show in the basement of the American Football House. Cycled on a freeway with 100+ cyclists during rush hour. Snuck into Pink Dot LGBT protest in Singapore (foreigners not allowed). Late-night spelunking in Hong Kong Island caves with some DJs I met. Went to a Japanese hippy festival in Thailand and a K-pop concert in the Philippines the next day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Traditional Japanese tea ceremony matcha. Sketching from life (urban sketching, portraits). Pretty decent at photography. Sharing my Spotify playlists, I'm a budding DJ! Can teach some skateboarding with my traveling pennyboard. Language exchange (native/fluent American English speaker)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Quality time and company. I can't cook well, but I like doing the dishes! I love learning about people, and I'm a big conversationalist - can chat about anything, really.
