We are Pierre and Alysson, a French couple who has been living in Montreal for the past 5 years. 🍁

We had a chance to experience Workaway when we first got here, helping out in a gampling resort (tiny houses in a boreal forest) and an in hostel, two experiences that we loved.

We love travelling and had the chance to live in different countries (France, Greece, Spain, Finland, Canada for Pierre, France, Spain, Italy and Canada for Alysson), next stop being New Zealand, which we are obviously really excited to visit.

We both speak French, English and Spanish fluently, if that can help, and we love animals (we have a cat called Arnold).
We are easy going, open minded, fun and eager to discover new things: culture, tasks, basically, everything there is to offer.

Pierre recently discovered a passion for stand up comedy and improv, and started performing in Montreal.
Alysson is a talented singer : give her a guitar and she'll make your problem melt away (She's obviously not a big fan of Pierre writing that, but she definitely is too modest).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers a great way to discover a culture from within, with locals, as an exchange so the host and the guest can mutually benefit from that approach.

Who can best show you around and get you to the best places in town? Also, couchsurfing is a great way to let people discover a bit about French culture, the country where I'm from.

I'd like to cook dinner, and Aly would love to sing a few songs.

Music:

Aly and I both love music, and Aly is also a talented singer.
I'd say we both like to listen to a wide variety of music (from hiphop to electronic, from folk to variety).

Few groups we like would include : Altin Gun, L'Imperatrice, Alt J, Cage the Elephant, the Strokes, Alice Phoebe Lou etc...

Films :
I'm really into thrillers and dramatic movies, but I can also have a laugh with a comedy.
Alysson is really into romantic comedies, and dramas.

As you can guess, it might be a bit complicated to pick a movie on Netflix.

Here is a list of movies we like : Triangle of Sadness, Everything everywhere all at once, Fight Club, 6th sense, Interestellar...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last summer we biked all the way over from Montreal to Toronto, which is roughly 700kms.
We got the chance to meet a lot of different people, and to even sleep in some people's garden.

It really meant a lot to us to see how many people were willing to help us, and to experience an alternative way to travel.
