People say about me that I'm friendly, multilingual, insightful, trusty and hospitable. I love other countries and nations and grew up voyaging. Now I am a CS Country Ambassador of Germany. - Feel free to contact me at any time with your questions, ideas and requests. We will get on for sure. And call me Viktor to procure your attention ... ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love it and must have done something right. - In 2018 I got nominated to become a Country Ambassador for Germany after being a City Ambassador for almost 7 years and contributing to several international CS projects and organizing over 100 CS events! Note: If you‘re from Germany (or a country without Country Amb) and like to join the Ambassador Program, let me know and I'll be glad to check what we can do.
So I am active on CS since many years. Some of the various stuff I did/do was:
• contributing to CS Wiki, creating logos for CS, welcoming newbies
• group moderation, e.g. in Chemnitz* (FRG) and Minsk (BY)
• organizing CS events/gatherings, working with CS team
• helping CS and being a contact person for consulting
• surfing, moderating, hosting, guided tours 4CSers
• share lots of Photos/Favorites on my profile
• developing the CS Ambassador program
Actually it's possible to get me into almost everything. New people and experiences fascinate me. For it I have visited over 40 countries, been to almost 40 US states and hitch-hiked over 25.000 km. If you like to know more about my adventures just ask ...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies (independent) and books about other countries.
I want to understand other peoples thinking and cultures. :-)
Some movies I like to watch:
• Norman Jewison's "The Hurricane" (Denzel Washington)
• Ismaël Ferrouki's "Le Grand Voyage" (Nicolas Cazalé)
• Radu Mihailenau's "Train de Vie" (Lionel Abelanski)
+ all kinds of Bud Spencer & Terrence Hill movies :-p
Some books I like to read:
• Rüdiger Nehberg "Das Survival-Handbuch" (Malik)
• Birgit Rupprecht-Stroll "Auslands-Knigge" (GU)
+ the Kultur-Schock series (Reise Know-How Rump)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not easy to tell as I remember plenty of unique wonderful moments like scuba diving in the Red Sea, flying over the Alps, hitchhiking to Belarus at -20 °C, driving a 35 tons truck in the US, climbing an ancient part of the Chinese wall from Ming Dynasty, lecturing to far over hundred students in Egypt, dealing with major CEO's and politicians at DB tower in Berlin, campaigning for city councilor in Chemnitz, seeing more countries and states than I can count, making a great many priceless of friends overall, getting to know my very best wife Yue, ... All makes my life and I highly appriciate everything!
