CURRENT MISSION Live life ABOUT ME I am an American expat in Taiwan, and I teach kindergarten and elementary school. I am a burner (Burning Man) and I live in a purple house on a beautiful mountain 5 minutes outside of Jhubei City. I enjoy art, music, serious adventure sports, nature, riding motorcycle, eating unusual foods, and good conversation. I am down for a good party, but I don't drink very much anymore. I also spent 7 years cooking fine dining, and I enjoy cooking for people. PHILOSOPHY Enjoy what you can and grow from what challenges you face.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING If you want to crash on my couch, you will certainly realize that Taiwan is a tropical island. Its beautiful here, and massively different from the dense urban areas. If you stay for a while and show an inclination to the arts I may ask you to paint something on the wall in the kitchen, its a community painting area. I will probably feed you, I like having excuses to cook. If you have any kind of overwhelming fear of spiders/snakes/assorted creepy crawlies, this is probably not a good place to crash. I will also be getting a second motorcycle soon, and the rules will be: 1. If you can make it down my driveway and back up to the house, you may borrow it. 2. If you wreck, you pay for damages. 3. No drunk driving. 4. If you get drunk and abandon/lose my vehicle, I will report it. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE In college I lived in a party house that had 13 couches and 3 hammocks. When we had parties, people crashed everywhere so there would be no drunk driving. Several years of this, and we had no real problems.
