ABOUT ME

I am a 32 year old Australian travelling with my 32 year old Greek girlfriend, Stavroula. Ian is boxing coach and an Ostepath and Stavroula is a social psychologist.

We were living in London but are now travelling throughout South America. We would love to hook up with local people from the areas we travel on our journey. We can be funny...depending on how hungry and tired we are...humour is very important to us!

PHILOSOPHY

We both love experiencing life rather than just pondering about it; hence the reason for travelling. We also think that humour plays a very important role in life.

Due to the nature of her work, Stavroula is fascinated by the ways in which
people with different values and worldviews relate to each other, understand and misunderstand each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately since we are travelling we can't host. We are very clean and are really happy to contribute to the household in anyway, including cooking. Ian's cooking skills are limited to eggs and cereal... but Stavroula loves cooking everything, including traditional Greek food, as well as drinking while chopping garlic and peeling potatoes...

Interests

We both love nature and outdoor activities.

Ian loves boxing, flipping and tricking in different places and moooonkeys!

Stavroula loves dancing, music, cooking, photography, boxing and swimming and watching Ian getting excited about monkeys! She also loves getting Ian upset with her inappropriate jokes.

Ian is an Osteopath but also martial arts teacher, boxing coach and a personal trainer. If you have any muscle or bone problems, Ian is the dude! If you also want to learn how to fight, self-defend, or get fit, Ian is again the dude! Ian has also been a stuntman in China so he can also teach you how to dodge a car or fight while on fire.

Stavroula is more boring! She is a social psychologist and she has extensive research and teaching experience working in teams to support and empower different social and cultural groups to engage with each other and cultivate commitment towards collective action and social change. She would love to work with different communities while travelling.
She can also teach you how to cook greek food!
