About Me

We're a couple of adventurous souls currently hitchhiking our way through the stunning landscapes of Patagonia! We're on a mission to experience the raw beauty of nature, discover hidden gems, and connect with the heart and soul of the places we visit. Think less crowded tourist traps and more breathtaking vistas only locals know about. We're always up for a challenging hike, a thrilling climb (we're still learning but enthusiastic!), or simply chilling by a campfire under a blanket of stars.

I'm Lukas, a data analyst, and my girlfriend, Michaea, is a psychologist (so be prepared for some insightful conversations!). We're both passionate musicians – and Michaela also has a voice that could charm the birds out of the trees. If you happen to have any instruments lying around, you might want to prepare for some Czech songs!

Beyond our love for the outdoors and music, we're big fans of good coffee (serious aficionados!) and even better conversations. We're eager to learn about your culture, share stories from our travels, and experience life from a local's perspective. We believe that travel is about connecting with people and immersing ourselves in new experiences, and we can't wait to meet you! We're always up for trying new things, whether it's local cuisine, a hidden hiking trail, or just a chat over a cup of coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're big believers in the power of shared experiences and lifelong learning. We're eager to swap stories from our travels, teach you a few basic Czech phrases and maybe even share some questionable guitar/piano skills. We're always keen to learn new things – whether it's a local recipe, or the history of your region. We're happy to share our passion for the outdoors, from tips on hiking and climbing to the best places to find a secluded sunset. Think of us as a traveling exchange program – we bring the enthusiasm, you bring the local knowledge, and together we create some awesome memories! We're open to learning anything and everything.

Interests

We're passionate about the outdoors and love anything that gets our adrenaline pumping. You'll find us hiking through breathtaking landscapes, scaling rocky cliffs, or simply soaking in the tranquility of nature. We're eager to discover hidden gems and local favorites, so if you know of any secret trails or off-the-beaten-path spots, please share them with us!

Beyond our love for adventure, we're also curious about different cultures and eager to connect with locals. We believe that travel is not just about seeing new places, but also about meeting new people and experiencing different ways of life. We're excited to learn about your traditions, try your local cuisine, and share stories from our own travels.

In our free time, you might find us strumming a guitar around a campfire, trying out new recipes inspired by our travels, or simply enjoying a good book with a glass of wine. We're always up for a laugh and love meeting new people, so don't hesitate to reach out if you think we'd get along!

Music, Movies, and Books

Our tastes are as diverse as the landscapes we travel through! While we appreciate a good sing-along around a campfire (think classic folk tunes mixed with whatever local melodies we pick up along the way), we're open to pretty much anything. From rocking out to classic anthems to discovering new rhythms and beats, our playlists are constantly evolving. If you've got a favorite tune, share it with us – we're always eager to expand our musical horizons!

When it comes to movies, we appreciate a well-crafted story. We enjoy everything from thought-provoking documentaries that make you question the world around you, to classic cinema that stands the test of time, to modern masterpieces that push the boundaries of filmmaking. We love analyzing the director's choices and appreciating the artistry behind the camera (one of us even has some behind-the-scenes film experience!). Bonus points if the movie inspires a good post-travel discussion!

Books are our companions on long bus rides and quiet evenings. We enjoy getting lost in different worlds and exploring new ideas. From classic novels like "The Little Prince" that remind us of the simple joys in life, to thought-provoking non-fiction like "Sapiens" that challenge our perspectives, we appreciate a good story that stays with you long after you finish reading. Currently, our reading list includes Doktor Zhivago, the Bible and Kafka on the Shore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've learned the profound power of presence. In a world often focused on doing, we've discovered the magic of simply being – being present for each other, for the people we meet, and for the moments that unfold before us. It's in these shared moments of presence, whether scaling a windswept peak or sharing quiet laughter, that we find the deepest connections and the most breathtaking views.

Teach, Learn, Share

Passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering connections. From the slopes to the classroom, I've had the opportunity to teach and learn from people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you're interested in the intricacies of data analysis, the nuances of a dance moves, or the basics of skiing, I'm happy to share my experiences. I believe in the power of lifelong learning and enjoy exploring new ideas with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a seasoned adventurer, I can share stories and insights from my journeys around the world. I'm also a great listener and enjoy engaging in deep conversations about life, philosophy, and current events. If you're looking for a travel buddy or simply someone to chat with, don't hesitate to contact me.
