Humans have been living together for millennia. They have lived by each other and for each other. One cannot enjoy life and afford all necessities alone. For example, every morning, before one finishes his breakfast, one has already depended on half of the world. So, where real boundaries are about to disappear, global citizenship is not an option anymore. However, the concept of global citizenship means different things to different people. From my own perspective, it is simply an open mindset. It is the feeling of connection between people on earth, regardless of their backgrounds, and the commitment to be positive, learn from others and teach them in return. We are all citizens of the world, and all share common goals that bring us together.

Inspired by this concept, I always wanted to make a change in the world and myself included . I thought it was out of reach until I read Kofi Annan’s quote «I am often asked what can people do to become a good global citizen ? I reply that it begins in your own community ».
