About Me

I'd love to meet local people in Europe who can show me some great places and hang out with me :)

Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm 29. I love gardens, cafes, restaurants, cozy nights at home or barbecues depending on the weather, forests, mountains, rivers, lakes and oceans.

I have shown many couch surfers visiting Los Angeles around town and have made some great friends by making sure visitors to my town see some great places and have fun. I hate when people come to LA and are bored because they do tourist stuff that is cool to see once, but not very exciting. I have tried to show visitors a great time in LA!

PS. I'm 420 friendly if you know what that means!

Don't worry what others think, just live your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hung out with visitors from all over the world as well as people who are new to Los Angeles. I love to show people a great time here!

Gardening, cooking, dining out, travel, swimming, reading the news, painting, going out and partying ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide range of music! From classic 60s and 70s rock like Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, to 80s music like Billy Idol or Depeche Mode, to R&B like R. Kelly and west coast rap like Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg. I love old school slow jams and the station KDAY 93.5 in LA! As for movies... It's impossible to pick favorite movies but I love comedies like Wet Hot American Summer and dramas like Slingblade, both are excellent for their genres. I love comedies on TV like 30 Rock, Workaholics and South Park, and I also love Mad Men and Breaking Bad. As for books I don't get a chance to pick up a novel too often these days (sad I know) because I'm a broadcast journalism major so I tend to read a lot of news articles instead!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most breathtaking things I've seen have been Yosemite National Park in California, the Swiss Alps, and the Big Island of Hawaii, where I saw Akaka Falls, black sand beaches and even a green sand beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm here to meet people and learn about different cultures and have amazing experiences. I'm also here to share my knowledge of Southern California and to make sure people really enjoy themselves when they visit.
