About Me

My roommates and I would love to host you in our place in kanamaluka area/ Launceston in the north of lutruwita/Tasmania. We moved here because I am doing a PhD in sustainable food systems :)

We are very passionate about fighting food waste and sustainable living. We tend to go dumpster diving a lot and share food with whoever we can.
We love to share stories about our travels and life :) We travel a lot and we have recently started bike touring 🤩

We tend to host a lot of friends and couchsurfers so from time to time we might be tired/busy and not able to hang out :)

Our household is quite big and we can host 2 people on a shared bed and another one on a camping mat maybe? We have an extra mattress if needed too
We are also happy to host people in our big garden if you wanna camp, have a shower and a meal.

UPDATE (mid-2025): we currently have a roommate therefore we don't have a private room to offer you anymore but if you are ok with camping in our garden or sleeping in our living room (we don't have a couch yet but can offer you our camping equipment) then you are more than welcome at our place! :)

If you need help (accomodation, translation, recommendations for places ), contact me on facebook, I check it few times a day: https://www.facebook.com/irene.dilauro.1
or on my instagram profile: @valentinairenedilauro

If I don't answer here and you d like to have somewhere to stay in Launceston you can contact me on WhatsApp/SMS or call at +61491133172

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
