ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small country called Lithuania. It's a lovely country and I love going back there to visit my family and friends and showing around Vilnius to people if I'm there.

After I have finished high school I moved to London and started studying photography.

Besides the photography I love exploring places, listening to vinyls in the evening, taking pictures of the people that i meet, going to the galleries or gigs, having picnics in a park, watching films and being by the seaside.

I also enjoy cooking sometimes and I'm vegan.

Currently I found myself living in Melbourne which has been a big dream of mine for a long time!
I'm happy to call this place my home but still enjoy going on little adventures around the world occasionally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met so many amazing people through couchsurfing that I still keep in touch with.
Some of them became my closest friends. It's the best and the worst thing to have friends all over the place but I believe we will meet one way or another sometime soon.

Can't wait to find a place of my own, get a good couch and give back to this wonderful community of strangers but remember every friend was a stranger once.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies and it's always hard to pick my favourite but I grew up watching Harry Potter, Narnia, Hunger Games and some movies that I always gives me inspiration are The Grand Budapest Hotel, Into the Wild, Dead Poet Society, The Perks Of Being Wallflower, Edward Scissorhands. All Wes Anderson movies! Lion King will always be my favourite childhood movie though.

Mostly indie/rock but always open to hear something new! Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Alt J, The XX, Coldplay, Talking Heads, Julia Jacklin, Bon Iver, Whitney, the Beatles, the Smiths, Bob Dylan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking around Europe, across USA, Canada, New Zealand and South East Asia.
It was super awesome and a experience that I would never regret and forget!

Booked flight last minute without a plan, sailed around some islands in New Zealand, hitched the boat across the english channel and sailed during the night, went snorkelling in Indonesia, seen dolphins, did some hiking in the mountains, slept under the full moon in the nature in Vietnam, watched shooting stars lying down on a grass and waiting until we get to see the sunrise with friends, cooked vegan meals for a large group of people trying to prove that they are not missing anything as a job that I got by being picked up on a side of the road, got some driving lessons in the states, sat on a back on a motorbike in South East Asia, surprised friends, tried to pretend I can skateboard in Portugal, climbed trees, run for a swim into the ocean during the day and night, volunteered at the refugee community kitchen in Calais, worked in a farm in Spain, helped students to practice their english, got to experience water fight in Cambodia, cycling around a big rock called Uluru, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, trying to learn surfing, jumping out of the plane on a Great Ocean Road in Australia but at the end of the day the most important part of it all was all the amazing people I've got to meet along the way, the places are just places but the people and adventures we have are things that make it all worth it!
