About Me
About Us: Father-Son Duo Exploring Europe!
Hey there, fellow travelers and culture enthusiasts! I'm Ivaniel, and I'm adventuring across Europe this summer with my awesome-pedantic dad (just wait to see for yourself). We're on a mission to dive deep into the heart of each country's culture, and we believe there's no better way to do that than by connecting with locals like you. CouchSurfing would also let us spend more on souvenirs, landmarks, delicious local food, and so on.
My dad is an incredibly creative and artistic soul – seriously, he can turn anything into a masterpiece (this isn't a joke). I'm more focused on the literary side, with a passion for writing and philosophy. I lived in the US for almost three years, but surprisingly, I've never had the chance to truly explore Europe until now.
This trip is a dream come true, especially for my dad. I gifted my family a four-day trip to Rome this past winter, which was their very first time traveling outside of Bulgaria—and flying with a plane. He absolutely loved it and has been buzzing with excitement for this European adventure ever since!
We're not just looking for a place to stay; we're eager to exchange stories, share laughter, and learn from each other. We're both very funny and humorous—but that depends on who you ask. Anyway, expect plenty of good times with us and lively though-provoking conversations. We're also happy to lend a hand with various tasks—just let us know how we can help!
When I'm not writing or philosophizing, I'm a big sports fan (football, basketball, tennis, boxing, MMA – you name it!), I love to meditate and train, and I have a musical taste for every mood.
My dad and I are excited to make unforgettable memories and experience Europe in the most authentic way possible.
Here's one of my favorite quotes (personal): "Depending on how you feel, time flows slower than you think and faster than you think."

Interests
I'm a big comedy guy — watching more than practicing, though. I hate politics but it always comes to talking about them and how they affect our lives — you know how it goes. I can talk all day long about sports, music, cinema, and philosophy topics. I'm the type of person that wants to express himself even if that means being awkward or talking about the last/things that others find humiliating. I can say that I'm interested in everything I think I know and everything else I don't. A conversation is good when people try to push it to a deeper level and that's pretty much what I'm going for.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big music guy. My favourite genres are: classic, electronic (techno), Old school Hip-Hop, Disco, Blues, Jazz, Vintage Country, Rock and Roll, and everything else that makes me feel "the goosebumps".
Cinema.. oh my god. I mean, it depends on what the mood is, but a good movie is always worth it. I usually spend at least half an hour finding that kind of movie. I have so many bookmarks with great movies — or at least that's what I hope for — but even choosing one from them is a big deal sometimes. I mostly watch thrillers — something connected to drama and crime — but I also like comedy and then horrors and action now and then. My favourites are: The Hangover (franchise), Gone Baby Gone, Spotlight, The Departed, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now, Dallas Buyers Club, The Dark Knight, Fight Club, SE7VEN — the list is mich bigger, but these are the ones that comes in my mind right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I graduated from High School. Yeah, no really, I did — and then dropped out of college the last semester.
Now the truth. By far the most amazing thing I've done is becoming independent and living on my own. I think I'm a better person than I was before, but I happen to prove myself wrong every now and then.
I believe the best is yet to come — as long as you care where you are heading to (and most importantly HOW you are going to reach whatever the target is).
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching... hm? I can teach you my mother tongue (Bulgarian). For sure I can show you how to do intuitive cooking. Some other skills I can teach others are human connection, taking care of your workplace/home efficiently, writing, and home workouts and how to be more connected with yourself in general —which will help you be connected with others as well (or quite the opposite). Oh, I can teach you English if that's one skill that you lack. This is everything that comes to my mind right now.
About learning... let me think. There are a lot of funny phrases that sound strange and kinda funny in other languages. I'm willing to learn anything possible from gardening to climbing mountains and even more — literally anything (as long as the one who teaches me has passion for it).
The sharing part... well, I think teaching and sharing are not much of a different thing — at least that's how I see it
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm living in a cozy village outside of my hometown right now and I would be more than happy to help anyone who's in the area or needs a place to stay. After all, Bulgaria isn't that big of a country and we can go anywhere for less than a day.
