ABOUT ME

I am a multi-talented eclectic guy, proud to belong to the species known as Homo Sapiens Sapiens. I'm doing that whole digital nomad thing, i.e. travelling with my Mac Air and banging Web content and academic papers from hostels and cafes around the world.
Writing is the first love of my life, but music is my mistress.

PHILOSOPHY

I am in the problem solving business in life and for a living. But could never do it without being in the fun and enthusiasm business 24/7.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is one of those things that makes me love this century even more. I mostly attend events wherever there are any (btw, Saint Petersburg ROCKS in this department), but I'd like to try surfing more. I'd LOVE to surf with hosts who are like-mindedly crazy-ass, Road-thirsty, art-loving and 120% creative folks.

While I'd love to host people, I travel all the time and haven't had a real "home" for years (although a few improvised flatsharing arrangement kinda came close).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've "surfed" and hosted many times, but mostly privately (i.e. outside the CS platform). I signed up after after an old-school backpacker friend of mine totally hooked me up with the "sect." 'Sandra, u the best! :*

Writing, writing, WRITING. Guitar, violin & a bit of piano and singing. Graphic design. The Scientific Method. Language: the greatest technological innovation in human history. Sharing moments of humanity with people not afraid of being themselves. In general, if bad habits & good company are involved, sign me in!

THIS EDUCATION THING ROCKS! I can give you a few hints on how to write an academic paper... believe me, you do need advice. Also, I can teach all sorts of tricks on Mac & Linux, including WLAN cracking ;) I could speak for hours about astrophysics, religion and evolution. Music and languages are a must, of course.

As for you, I am interested in everyone's favorite discipline and trade! When I meet you, I will probably ask you two things right away: put on or sing a song from where you are from, and tell me a joke about your profession. Everybody should know at least one joke about one's own craft.

An explosive personality, some real-deal enthusiasm for life and humanity and stories from the world. Also, some kickass Italian pasta cooking skills, if we feel like eating at home - as opposed to living off alcohol (calories) and junk food, leaving more spare time to smell the world.
