About Me

ABOUT ME

Toastmaster
Writer
Gardener
Wanderer

Of course, a Couchsufer as well.

Who am I? Th answer change day by day as I live each day, as I travel, anywhere, even within the city I am staying in now, and places I visit over and over again.

A believer of things happen for a reason and now is always the right time for whatever that is happening. "Living the moment", as many would have described this. Yes! It is tough to always do that, yet, it is a good reminder.

Finally accept the fact that I am a Jack-of-All-Trades, I am not being bothered much being told that I am not a master in any field.

C'Est la vie!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world from a local's perspective.
I love to meet new friends.
I like to explore new places, with friends, old and new.

And now, I realise, it is more than seeing the world and meeting new friends.
I discovered more about myself, about people around me.

Interests

I love gardening, I love gardening using recycled materials. That's my little effort to reduce carbon footprint.

I love painting: water colour, acrylic, crayon, landscape, portrait, abstract etc.

I love to learn languages. I do translations as a hobby.

Music, Movies, and Books

Enigma, Deep Forest, Dadawa and Shakira are some of my favorite artists.
I play piano and erhu..... long time ago.

"鲁冰花“ I watched it once but the story of the little boy whose drawings were highly valued only after he has passed has left a great impression.
I have also watched "Sabrina" hundreds of times.

"Heidi" I envy the little girl who grew up on the mountain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Career sabbatical for a year.

Couchsurfing. It is such an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the languages that I know. My previous host finally corrected his pronunciation of "jalan-jalan" from "jalang-jalang" ;)

I want to learn about my hosts, my new-found friends and the new place I am visiting.

I love to share my stories, the clean air and positive thinking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, Time and company.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
