Overview
About Me
I’m someone who loves meeting people and learning from the world. I work in Japan supporting refugees through legal assistance and by introducing books related to global migration. Travel and cultural exchange have shaped much of my life—I’ve explored many regions of Japan and traveled widely across Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
Tea, food, and music are my passions. I enjoy visiting tea regions, taking cooking classes during my travels, and playing both the viola and the shamisen. I also love spending time in bookstores, cafés, and markets wherever I go.
I’m calm, respectful, organized, and genuinely curious about how people live in different places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to meet people who enjoy authentic cultural exchange. When I host, I love helping travelers understand Japan beyond the typical tourist attractions. When I travel, I hope to learn from locals, try home-cooked food, discover everyday routines, and hear stories that don’t appear in guidebooks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music plays a central role in my life - I split my time between practicing the viola and exploring the traditional sounds of the shamisen. My musical tastes are quite diverse: while I cherish classical pieces, you'll often find me at jazz clubs enjoying the energy of big band performances.
When it comes to films, I have a special place in my heart for French cinema and musicals. There's something captivating about the storytelling style in French films, and I love how musicals bring stories to life through song and dance.
I'm an avid reader who enjoys exploring different genres. These days, my reading list reflects both my professional focus and personal interests - I've been particularly drawn to books about IT and global refugee experiences, from technical works to moving personal narratives.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling through rural Nagano, I once came across an elderly woman who had fallen on a farm path and couldn’t stand up. I drove her home, and the relief on her face left a deep impression on me. Since then, I try to move through life a little more slowly and attentively, always keeping an eye out for people who might need a hand.
