About Me

Not all those who wander are lost, right ?

From may 24th to June, July till end of August 2025 : I could host in la Garde-Freinet, Var. Google it.
Not super appealing conditions (see further), but that's what I have right now. You'll be welcome, it's free, I'm a good company :)

It's 1 hour from the sea, St Tropez, Port Grimaud... Not easy if you don't have a car, but you can hitchike or go with public transportation.

/// Important ///

I live in a 30m2 studio, we would need to share the place. There's no private bedroom, but several separate beds and sleeping options. Don't come if you want comfort or privacy.
But it will be clean and I'll be respectful.

I'm straight, and way more on a monk mode journey than on a Tinder fest.
This is couchsurfing.

"Every stranger is a friend we didn't discover yet"
I've travelled a lot. You'll have clean sheets. And I'll give you a towel then you don't have to use and dry your own :)

I'm doing a lifeguard summer season in a quiet village, and I will be happy to help fellow travellers, speak English and share some nomadic vibes.

Feel free to message me (+33684666155 what's app or jeremie.dache insta) if you just need a shower, a bath in the city swimming-pool or just say hello while I'm working.
My place could be a base to explore the area. There's some beautiful nature around.
I have a car, I will be working a lot but in my free time we can use it.

About my profile... I didn't hide any key phrase that you'll need to remember if we meet :)

A question that's been on my mind a lot... What would you do if you knew you could not fail ?

For me, the answer has been travels, between tries to become an entreprenor. So far, I had more success in the former than in the latter... But new choices can lead to a different future ;)

As a main job during the more stable parts of my life, I coached and played water-polo, wanting to change my sport in France, always challenging myself and others.
This competitive part of me is still present, although I seriously transitioned into Yoga and meditation, towards a more compassionate approach of life.
I try and tend to be disciplined, respectful, organized, with others and for myself.
No external addictions of any kind. I won't be a party guy, but I smile a lot and I love to take my time to discover other people.

I've mostly been a fast traveller, checking a lot of experiences and places off my bucket list. I've been slowing it down recently, as I understand more and more about myself and the world.

I'm still that very flawed and non-logical human being though.
The journey is incredible and fascinating. I feel immensely grateful for this life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been my lifeline over those years on the road, I will be forever grateful to the community.

Hosting in a good place remains one of my goals.
When I'll have a home, which I didn't have very often those past years...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping on the highest tower of the half-ruined Jiankou section of the Great Wall of China.

Crossing the Nullarbor Desert, driving for 24 hours straight, with a 100-kg biker who had just been freed after 10 years in jail.

Becoming a yoga teacher — a deeper journey inside myself than I could ever take with my feet.

Riding and camping in the forest with my bike for 3 weeks on the Camino de Santiago, between France and Portugal.

Sleeping with non-English-speaking nomads for five days in Mongolia, using wrestling training with the local champion as our main form of communication.

Pitching my tent in the wild across many national parks in Canada and the US, with only my earplugs as protection against the nearby grizzlies.

Hitchhiking around the world for more than two years, then discovering even more about myself while meditating back home during Covid.

Jumping from scooter to scooter through crazy traffic during the 2025 Kumbh Mela in India — the largest gathering of people on Earth in the past 120 years.

Riding the Trans-Siberian Railway to the magical Lake Baikal, one of those very special energy point on earth.

Crossing from Panama to Colombia on a hitchhiked boat without a motor, radio, or GPS — and finding out after one day that the boat was damaged and we would have to let ourselves drift the rest of the way.

Hiking some of the most breathtaking natural places in the world:
- Annapurna sanctuary in Nepal
- Zion, Bryce and Moab in Utah
- Blue mountains in Australia
- Banff and Jasper in Canada
- Fitz Roy and Perito Moreno in Argentina
- Volcán Barú in Panama
- Olkhon Island in Russia
- Torres del Paine in Chile
- Zhangjiajie, Huashan, Wudangshan and Tiger Leaping Gorge in China
- Salcantai and Choquequirao in Peru
- New Zealand south Island
- Volcan Acatenango in Guatemala
- Dana Reserve and Petra in Jordan
- Bromo and Ijen in Java
- The Lycian Way in Turkey…

Including Corsica, my favorite landscape in Europe !

Smile in the present moment. To myself, or with another human being.
Nothing gets more valuable than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you with anything french or english related.
I have some knowledge and experience in sports, yoga, physiology, psychology, travels.

For the rest, I don't have any claims to know anybetter. The more I discover, the more I understand that I don't know much.

I've been a teacher, a coach. I loved it.

Big fan of hikes, nature and random human connections.

Overall I'm more of a listener than a storyteller. Not so much of an extrovert.
I will be interested in your story.
I'm sometimes too sick and tired about mine ;)
