About Me

I think of myself as a Renaissance man and a serial dilettante; I would say I'm not a master of any skill but proficient and knowledgeable in an extraordinary amount of things. I enjoy learning things and acquiring stories. The top six things on my mind are exercising, eating, travelling, luxurious things, building businesses, and my Spotify playlists. I'm very curious about all cultures/ideologies and love meeting new people! I'm extremely clean and always like to leave a place better than it was when I arrived.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Couchsurfing, but I presume this site is an excellent way of meeting locals and hopefully making new friends in new cities, and these new friends can point me to destinations or activities that I would not otherwise experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a lot of music, and I'm not quite sure what the genres are exactly of what I like. My favorite is perhaps a chill EDM or electronic? I also love smooth jazz, I love the Bon Iver type genre, I love the Jack Johnson beach-summer feeling songs, and I enjoy rap like Migos, 21 Savage, Drake, etc. I like a lot more, but typically I am not the biggest country fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once raced a Ferrari F12, a Lamborghini Huracan and a Lamborghini Aventador around a track. I once hiked a mountain in the Andes near Machu Picchu. I enjoy extremely luxurious things half the time, and extremely humble and minimalist adventures the other half.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure exactly what to write here, I have knowledge in a variety of fields. That said, I am always ready to change my mind or my idea of what I think to be true. "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge." So for most things I am not going to say I'll teach you anything, but I will discuss anything. But for the sake of providing an answer I would teach what I know about exercising and diet. I can teach men how to dress, I can discuss simple ideas of investing (or I'll teach you about derivatives and that you should probably not touch them other than as a hedge). I can teach you how to drive a manual, or ride a motorcycle. I obviously can teach English, and have a fundamental understanding (albeit basic) of Mandarin, Spanish and French. I can teach you to use granulated sugar to make your cookies crispier and brown sugar to make them chewier. This can go on and on. Things I want to learn ? I'm open to everything, and would love to learn anything you're better at or more knowledgeable on than me. One generic thing I always am trying to better is my knowledge of cooking and baking. I'd like to be better at every sport as well. Golfing, tennis, surfing, basketball, etc etc. Like I said, I'm looking for stories. I'm a huge Tim Ferriss fan and hearing the random things he and his guests do makes them so interesting. That's what I aspire for. I have planned a weekend for learning how to drive Formula 3 race cars, and another weekend on chicken training.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share knowledge and ideas, and at the risk of sounding egotistical: my opinions. But I think what I most importantly can share is my friendship. I'm not sure what a typical response for this category is. Food? I would share food, everyone loves food.
