About Me

Hey!

Just a heads up, I live in Caves Beach, which is about 30min south of Newcastle (not sure why couchsurfing lists me in Newy🤷‍♂️).

I'm an easy going guy who likes to have a few beers and get out and enjoy nature!

Born and raised in Australia, I left in 2018 to travel and work in Europe.
Covid hit so now I am back in this great land, living in an absolutely beautiful part of the world, but I do miss travelling and experiencing different cultures!

I love that this world is so full of different experiences, and that it is the people and conversations that you have along the way that have the leave lasting impressions.

You'll likely find me outdoors either at the beach, hiking, jogging, or camping.
I also enjoy a good beer (or 3) and just hanging out chatting about life.
I am determined to learn how to surf this summer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people. I find people are particularly genuine on couchsurfing and I enjoy sharing stories and experiences. I enjoy to host as much as being hosted.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie favorites include 2001, Blues Brothers, Trainspotting, Dazed and Confused, Princess Bride, and V for Vendetta.

I only got into reading more in the past couple of years. So if you have any recommendations I am all ears :)
I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I've read by Kurt Vonnegut so far!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in Iceland was absolutely incredible. The grand scale and diversity of their landscapes makes it one of my favorite places so far.

But.. the transiberian rail journey has got to be one of the most surreal and amazing experiences I've had. I'd go back to those trains, the sleeping carriages, conversations I barely understand and laughing, sharing tea and eating noodles. Really amazing trip!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to cook a meal for you and your housemates, or just bring along some drinks to share.
I usually travel with a jar of Vegemite in my pack, so let me know if you want to try Australia's favorite spread!
