Overview
About Me
I'm Jacob, curious, open-hearted, and always learning. New to this app so don't have many references yet
I work in career development and do community-based writing and advocacy projects. I love real conversation, new cultures, and meeting people who see the world differently. I travel to learn how other people live, not just to pass through.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m traveling to learn, not consume. Couchsurfing lets me experience a place through the people who live there, their routines, their humor, their food, their perspective. I respect people’s homes and space, and I host/visit with gratitude.
Interests
I’m drawn to people’s stories, how they became who they are, what shaped them, and what they’re still reaching for. I love understanding culture from the inside, not as a tourist but as a temporary local.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once watched a room full of young men share their stories in a writing workshop, and saw how narrative can break open a life. It reminded me why I do the work I do.
