Hiiii! My name is Jacob and I originally grew up Atlanta, Georgia, but like many others, I've moved closer to the mountains!

Now I consider myself a local who uses the city as a travelling training ground! I'm always staying active and looking for new things to try. You can typically find me adventuring new parks, trails, trying new bars or restaurants, or hiking/climbing in the mountains.

I have stayed with 2 hosts and hosted over 39 CS guests from 9 different countries!

My roommate @marcuswhitaker and I first started with Couchsurfing when I took my trip to NY city and him when he traveled Norway. We both came back from our trips around the same time and thought to ourselves, we can't always afford or have the time to travel how can we continue to open our perspective and keep traveling while at home. So we became hosts for a little over 6 months. With that we've had travelers contact us months in advance or stay with us at last minute. We've collected countless stories and made quite a number of amazing friends. We've created an instagram profile where we tell the stories of our Couch Surfers called @worldfromacouch.

My interests are all based around experiences! I love being outdoors, rain or shine, sub zero or over 100F. Put me in nature and I'm happy. I also love art (I can't draw though), photography, and food. I really have a big interest for food!

Music: I will love an listen to all music, even all the weird ones. My preferences range from Chill EDM, Dubstep, Rock, AltRock, Jazz, Blues, Classical.

Movies: Harry Potter, Action Movies, LOTR, Comedy Movies. I don't actually watch a lot of TV.

Books: Self Development, Business, Psychology, Philosophy, Mystery.

Stood at the bottom of a 500ft Gorge that you had to climb down to get into in Utah!
Hiked 50 miles of the Grand Canyon from Havasu Falls to the Colorado River in Arizona!
