Hello,
My name is Jacque, hailed from Taipei, Taiwan.

I just graduated this January. I majored in Philosophy, also studied in Art program, and I will continue studying aesthetics/art criticism in the future. Back in high school, I was a spiker in volleyball school team, competed in sprits, long jump and rugby as a student athlete in uni. As I enjoy mostly everything related to outdoor activities, I am also addicted to literature, movies, and arts. I do photographing, little bit of oil painting and graphic design.

I start backpacking in college. Apart from exploring the world freely and more adventurous, the best part of backpacking is to meet new friends all over the world, and even better to meet again. I always feel grateful having these friends in my life.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting new friends, sharing different cultures and opinions about things we cared. Growing up with all my relatives live around the world, my family traveled a lot to have the ‘family time’ with their brothers and sisters. We lived in their homes, so we don’t have to spend more money on accommodations.

This is somehow related to the idea of Couchsurfing. We live in big wide world, we can have this opportunity to help others, too. When I get the chance to have a place of my own, I would definitely offer accommodations to others.

Música, películas y libros

I enjoy reading literature works a lot, and the book I love the most is To Kill a Mockingbird, and I am also a big fan of Alice Munro and Gabriel Garcia Marquex. As a backpacker lol, I been strongly inspired by Seven Years in Tibet and Into the Wild. Both of these books give me quite a different idea about “traveling”.

As for music, I really love Adele and Dean Lewis. I also enjoy musical and opera a lot, but those I have encountered are quite limited to English ones. But I will love to know more about other languages’ musicals and operas. Though I have limited knowledge of Jazz, but I have always enjoy listening to Jazz, especially in bars:)

I enjoy watching movies very much, however, I am not a fan of horror and action movies. I first thought it is too cruel for me to decide which movie I love most, but here is my top five.

-Inception (Maybe all the movies of Christopher Nolan)

Being a student athlete for some kind of years, I can share some experiences of volleyball playing or minimum Track Field practice. Also I really want to learn extreme sports!

What I love the most is sharing and talking about arts, books, and movies. And it will be a spectacular while accompany with drinks.
