Hello hello all! This is Jafon from Malaysia, who is currently based some where near to the capital of Malaysia, Petaling Jaya.

What kind of a person I am? Some would claimed myself to be humorous, some claimed that I can be a decent listener and most of my friend find I am a wacky person. I personally feel I am quite an introvert (when most of my friends disagree), who enjoys quality conversation a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people, making new friend, cultural exchange are always my interest! I enjoy knowing and living a country/place that I visit like the locals, and I want others to experience what I do!

Interests

Hiking! Definitely hiking, especially within Indonesia as it has so much awesome places to offer! Haven't have the chance to do Nepal/India though, which I would love to do it some day soon.

Diving! As of date, I have done my dives at the Tenggol Island and Perhentian Island of Terengganu, Sipadan Island of sabah as well as the beautiful Komodo Island!

Other than that I do enjoy a lot of Music.

Aside of that, I am of course happy with what I do as my career - Environmental consulting, and at the same time, stock investment for my travel funding!

Music, Movies, and Books

Work can be hectic sometimes, especially for what I do for a living. So music is always one good way to calm my restless soul.

I do a lot of Mindy Gledhill, Rosie Thomas, Lex Land, Trespasser William, Don Williams, Karrin Allyson, Sophie Zelmani, Priscilla Ahn, Carmen Cuesta, The Cranberries and many many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking Mt. Rinjani of Lombok, Indonesia! I am always a big fan of hike trails with great photogenic views, and Mt. Rinjani is one of the best place to hike within the South East Asia region. I had a "hikegasm"! Beautiful island with so much beautiful things to offer - one of the place I would re-visit in future!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a strong believer of one would only prosper through teaching, sharing and learning from others.

Talking to people of different background is one key interest of mine. It is a big big world that we are living in and there are so much things that you and I have not seen, nor learnt - and we get to do all these by travelling.

Travel as much as possible when I can afford, and as long as my legs can carry me further.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Another thing I like about my travelling, is the local food! Lots and lots of good local food. While online forums and blogs can be good guide of good food place, it is always better to have a local host to show us around the best food in town! Hence regardless I am hosting, or I am looking for a host at a certain location, I do hope that our tummy and taste buds are being well taken care of!
