I loved traveling so much that I made it my job. I'm a freelance sailor, and I captain the boats of others as a job. Sometimes I find myself in a new port and would love to meet some locals to learn about the culture and people.

When I travel for pleasure, I usually seek out the mountains. I love to spend time in nature, listen to live music, and have a drink with friends.

Unfortunately I don't have a house now. I'm currently fully nomadic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couch surfing because it's a great way to meet locals. I believe you can only know a place if you experience how everyday life is like there.

Interests

My interests revolve around physical activities and music. I love being outside hiking or sailing and I adore musical theater, opera, and concerts of various genres. Singing is one of my greatest joys in life and I'm also learning to play the ukulele.

I've walked the entire length of New Zealand's south island on the Te Araroa Long pathway.

I can give you tips on long distance hiking, sailing, show you a few chords on the ukulele, and teach you about reinforcement learning algorithms.
I also know a lot of random stuff. I recently taught some international friends the rules of American football. I guess you'll just have to meet me to find out what I have to offer you!
