About Me

I am always experimenting with living a moderate life focused on experiences, travels and adventures. I am a fun-loving, open-minded guy with an unquenchable thirst for learning new things, meeting new people and trying new things. Among my hobbies are photography and mountain climbing as well as my blog, themeasuredlife.net, where I write about self experimentation, travel and the like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I find meeting new people and learning about other cultures one of the most gratifying experiences one can have. I love being inspired to read new books, try new food, visit new places, listen to new music etc. Life is a journey made worthwhile by the connections we make with other people :)

Interests

Meeting new people, sharing perspectives, cozy diners, going out, getting drunk, having (mis)adventures, making mistakes, sharing passion love and laughs - basically making a dent in other people's world and having them making one in mine. Traveling is always high on my agenda. Psychology and the human mind fascinating me deeply. I couldn't live without music to inspire or books to broaden my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Food ~ everything made in a tagine!
Music ~ Royksopp, Eric Clapton, Manowar
Book ~ everything by Tim Ferriss

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most longlasting slightly crazy thing I have done was living for a year with Quechua Indians on Taquile Island in Lake Titicaca in the Peruvian Andean mountains. Otherwise I am proud of having climbed mt. Toubkal in Morocco and will climb more peaks in the future :)

Teach, Learn, Share

It is always fun to learn bits of new languages as well as how to cook food from all around the world. Likewise I can teach you how to pronounce the danish dish "rødgrød med fløde" and take you to the free town of Christiania for some yummy vegetarian food and ecological coffee in the sun. Maybe we can strum some chords on the guitar together or go photograph people on the streets of Copenhagen or in your city, if I happen to be visiting you. I always, always have my Nikon 3300 DSLR on me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing conversation about everything thinkable, I especially enjoy talking about photography, sustainable living, art, mountain climbing, nature, food and the like.
