About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn Spanish! I feel handicapped as a monolingual Brit!

ABOUT ME

I'm a wacky, happy and talkative 22 year old who enjoys making people laugh and smile. I never did the whole travelling thing before I went to uni so I'm using my summer and a year out to travel and learn Spanish. At the moment I'm in the USA visiting family but will be going back to the UK on the 1st of September before moving to Spain!

I find it quite hard to think of things to fill out in this box but luckily I'm not shy to asnwering even the weirdest questions, so shoot.

PHILOSOPHY

I usually don't try to over think this sort of the thing at the risk of sounding too sure of myself. I think it's important to be open to different ways of living your life. I suppose if there's one thing I try to follow, perfectly simplified by the artist Anthony Burrill, it's to 'work hard and be nice to people'. It's brought me a lot of happiness and success.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Admittedly, I only found this site last week after advice from a friend to solve my accomodation issue! Having said that, I have had plently of couch surfing experiences, albeit without the aid of this site. Usually they end up me cooking dinner to express my gratitude along with a lot of drinking related fun and games. I've never had a bad experience!

Interests

Cooking, outdoor activities, music, dancing, youtube videos (nerrrrrrrd), short books, shopping, clubs.

Music, Movies & Books

Ohh goodness, I'd hate to sound boring, but pretty much anything. I tend to forget the plots of movies which gives me the freedom to watch them over and over. With music, most things, bar country and maybe screamy rock. Books are difficult because I have ADHD but I tend to be able to make it through short books with an exciting, chronological plot - think The Colour Purple or The Perks of Being a Wallflower, for example.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Hearing the air rush past my ears whilst bungee jumping in Colombia was pretty spectacular!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a mean cook and complete food geek so I could teach anyone a little more about food.

I would like to think I could teach some science (I aim to be a science teacher one day).

I know basical conversational Spanish, so as long as you're curious, and I know the rough translation, I can try to help.
