About Me

leaving the ivory tower, named Austria, and experience other countries, other cultures, but most of all, people with different ideals of the "meaning of life"

My biggest fear is, to look back at my life and say: " Oh boy, ive seen so little of this world, ive no Idea of so many cultures, ideals, ways of life,..."

I know about the diversity in our world, but where do I know it from...movies, books, docu's, stories of friends,...I want experience it by my-fuckin-self! Travelling through a country, talking to the people there, listening to their lifes, and broaden my horizon...

As an Austrian, Im aware of how lucky I am, my freedom of doing whatever I want, sitting in my ivory tower and knowing of catastrophes just by News/TV...But that doesnt mean, that I want to see people suffering, just to say, "Alright, seen it, go back in my tower", neither I won't travel through the world and pity that "poor" people. I won't pity anybody. That would be kind of arrogant, wouldnt it? Because...

What's luck, what's happiness, what's a fulfilled life? Everyone has to find out for him- or herself. Im sure that I can figure out for myself by talking to people who have not that "€žprivileges"€œ (according to capitalism) but radiate a lust for life even though or (and probably thats the point) just because they have not that ideal of a fulfilled life like the people I see in the daily grind do, who work from 9to5, still their need of consumption but are not able to get satisfaction at all.

Those people, who are able to be happy, living a fullfilled life, not in a materialistic way, but in a way we - in our ivory towers -€“ have forgotten, and those who can tell me stories about their travel-experiences can maybe help me to find out, what really matters for myself! That'€™s why Im here on Couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So long only nice experiences. Found a couch in an emergency-case just hours after sending the request, got two new friends in Fabian and Yvonne who I already visited in their Hometown Berlin. Easiest way to find a couch are former CouchSurfers you hosted ;)

So...Its not just that you get to know people from everywhere with awesome stories, but you build a huge network all over the world!

Sports in general! Especially Beach-Volleyball and Soccer...
Going out with friends and shake all night (60s, alternative rock, Electro)
