We're an international couple from Slovakia and America who met in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Our love for traveling, hiking, and skiing eventually brought us to New Mexico for 12 years. Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

We began couchsurfing as a way to stay locally while skiing the beautiful resorts of New Mexico. When we left our home for three years, from 2016 to 2019, we eventually couchsurfed with 100+ hosts throughout America, Canada, and Europe. The experience taught us that Couchsurfing's truest value comes from the broadening experience of "traveling like a local." We learn so much from our host families and guests by spending time together at home.

Intereses

We love spending time outdoors - camping, hiking, skiing. We also enjoy photography, watching movies, and learning new things.

As a family, we

Spent 2 separate years living, working, and schooling abroad.

Spent 1 year traveling the US by car visiting 20+ states and 40+ National parks and monuments and dozens of state parks, camping and couchsurfing, exclusively. (Pro tip, Utah has amazing state parks that we think are as good or better than many national parks.)

Spent 6 months traveling Europe by car, staying with locals in over 20 countries.

Traveled both ways between the US and EU via transatlantic cruise.
