About Me
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please Read My Profile & Room Description!!!!
Guys, please don’t send copy-paste requests, especially if you have no references. If you do, don’t expect a reply. Lately, I receive several requests every day, and I can’t answer all of them.
Both my wife and I work full-time (we also have kids), so please don’t request if you are looking for entertained or shown around—we might not have time for that. We are happy to share a place to stay and meals, tips etc. :)
About Us
I’m a math geek with an eye for detail. I spent several years working in finance and pharma, and now I’m based in Singapore, working as Head of Applied AI at a startup. My interests revolve around Artificial Intelligence, Software developement, Mathematics, and Montessori education.
Ola, my wife, is a Montessori specialist focusing on early childhood education (1.5–3 years and 3–6 years old). We have two kids, Teo (4 years old) and Nina (1.5 years old) (updated Jan 2025), who keep us on our toes and fill our days with energy, curiosity, and a bit of chaos.
We used to practice Iyengar yoga regularly (even spent five months in India training with senior teachers), but these days, with two kids, we don’t have as much time for yoga as we'd like.
Our Lifestyle & Values
- We rarely drink alcohol—not really part of our lifestyle.
- We love learning—whether it's about AI, education, self-improvement, or understanding the world.
- We like to help others—We have volunteered in food preparation for the less fortunate, education centers, and technical mentorship programs. Giving back is important to us.
Dreams & Goals:
- My biggest dream is to ride a horse across Mongolia.
- My next dream is bigger—I want to develop humanity, help less fortunate people, and leave something behind that lasts longer than me. I want to bring a positive change to the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing in 2012 when I started traveling a lot. At first, I used CS to make traveling more affordable, meet people, and learn about different cultures. Now, my living situation allows me to host, and I’m happy to give back to the CS community.
I believe Couchsurfing has shaped me in many ways. It helped me grow, meet amazing people, and see the world from a new perspective. Now, I want to do the same for others—share our home, stories, and love for travel. (As much as it is possible in the busy adult life :D)
I’ve never been the kind of traveler who follows a tour guide and takes pictures of every landmark. I like to explore like a local, experience real life in a new place, and connect with the people who live there.
CS is a great community full of open-minded people who want to connect. I’m grateful to be part of it, and I look forward to meeting fellow travelers and hosts, sharing experiences, and making great memories together.

About Us & Hosting
We’re a family of four—Ola, our two kids, and me. We both work, so our time can be limited, but we love meeting new people. We’re happy to offer a couch or floor space occasionally.
Since we have young kids, we’d appreciate guests who enjoy spending time with them—reading books, playing with LEGO, or simply engaging with them. If you like that, it’s a perfect match! Helping with small chores like clearing the table or tidying up after meals would also be a big help.
What We’re Learning:
Montessori & Education – We’re working on expanding Ola’s Montessori brand and sharing this education with more parents.
Social Media & Marketing – We’re eager to learn about ads, website management, and social media growth.
French – Our kids go to a French school and are just starting to speak. If you can read or chat with them in French, that would be great!
What We Can Share:
Management & Life-Changing Books – We love discussing personal growth and meaningful reads.
Montessori & Positive Discipline – Insights into child education and development.
Cooking & Mealtimes – We enjoy sharing meals (though expect some noise with two kids around!).
AI & Tech – Perspectives on AI and how to use it to your advantage.
We look forward to meeting like-minded travelers and sharing experiences! 😊
What I Can Share with Hosts
We live near Bukit Timah, the highest point in Singapore, about 20 minutes from the Botanic Gardens and 35+ minutes from the city center (Promenade) by MRT. Singapore has a well-connected and affordable public transport system, though hitchhiking isn’t common as most cars belong to taxis or private hire companies.
We can offer a couch in the living room or floor space. Our apartment also has access to a small pool, perfect for a quick dip, though it’s not big enough for serious swimming.
Looking forward to hosting and sharing experiences with fellow travelers! 😊
