ABOUT ME UPDATE; I met my wife through couchsurfing in 2010, and we were married 3 times in 2012. she's from Russia! over the last several years i've been all over the place, just stopping home to pick up mail between trips. don't quite know how i've managed it, but i have. i'm equal parts lucky and hard worker, a bit of a conundrum i suppose... a complicated man living a simple life. a barefoot gentleman so to speak. i enjoy my traveling, meeting new people, finding special places and unique situations, learning and helping when i can, and i'm hoping to run into like hearted souls along the way... PHILOSOPHY be present. step beyond my self. explore. keep it simple.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING i enjoy connecting the dots and sharing life stories which bring us greater understanding of this remarkably diverse world. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE i've had some great times surfing couches in places like New Zealand, Baja, and Costa Rica, but that was before i found this place. i'm looking forward to discovering new people and places to be.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
ah, one of the 10,000 things! well, once i caught the light just right... in a cave... in New Zealand... a river running through it... by myself... it pulsed reflections on stalactites like opening flowers... maybe 10 minutes in all from beginning to end... an amazing moment that left me feeling graced. (burning man and the oregon country fair too. look them up when you can)

My Interests
peoples stories, what made you the way you are? i studied psychology in college, have a great interest in helping the world in little ways when i can, travel, exploring, making connections however fleeting, living, loving, learning, sharing, and all that other stuff... photography, reading, writing, music, outdoor stuff, oceans, being real, learning to laugh at the fool that i am... you know, the usual. i have been involved with the Oregon Country Fair for over 20 years and have also worked for the Burning Man event. check them out, they're amazing events!
