About Me
After my first trip abroad I fell in love with travel. I decided to move abroad to gain a deeper understanding of a new country. I have been living and working in Guangzhou China for the last two years. Just finished my contract teaching English and am about to hit the road for a while.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard nothing but great reviews about the Couchsurfing community. All my friends who have used Couchsurfing have spoken about the kindness and generosity of their hosts. When I revealed my plans to take a long solo trip, many people I insisted I join. I think it is a great way to meet new people and learn about their culture and way of life. I look forward to meeting like minded people and hearing about their travel and life experiences. Once I am reestablished in a new city, I hope to be able to return the favor by hosting other travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can most often be found with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other. I will read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Favorites are classic literature, old Russian authors, and travel writing. Love non-fiction as well. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, and am always looking for new bands to listen to. Tend to watch quirky, cult movie, type movies, but can appreciate anything with a good plot and good dialogue.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have recently received paychecks for teaching both English and rock climbing. Although I’m not great at either, I could teach you the basics.
