Previously working in oil and gas, but now in renewables (installing windmills offshore) ... and soon to retire and can travel more :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not different than others in here: I'm couchsurfing and travelling because I want to see and learn more about our globe and its inhabitants, and to share / experience / learn about the different cultures along the way, either by hosting or by being a guest. Relatively new to the cs, but am fascinated about this way to travel and explore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Whale safari in a sea kayak in Newfoundland, Canada.
- White shark diving (me in a cage) in South Africa.
- Ride the last section of the Trans-Siberian Railway, from Vladivostok to Nakhodka, Russia.
- New Years Eve at Copacabana.
