Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm Jasper, an open-minded and curious person from Germany with a background in renewable energy and technology. I love discovering new places, connecting with people from different cultures, and sharing experiences – that’s what brought me to Couchsurfing! I'm easygoing, respectful, and always up for good conversations, cooking together, or just hanging out. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors – hiking, biking, or exploring new cities. Looking forward to meeting you and exchanging stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places, but about connecting with people and experiencing the everyday life behind the tourist sights. Couchsurfing is a great way to step into a local’s world, share stories, and learn from each other. I enjoy the cultural exchange and the spontaneity that comes with meeting people this way – it often leads to the most memorable moments of a trip. Whether as a host or a guest, I believe in mutual respect, open minds, and the simple joy of sharing space and perspective.
Interests
In my free time, I love being outdoors – hiking, cycling, or going on spontaneous road trips. I'm also interested in photography, music, and sustainability. Whether it’s trying new foods, diving into local culture, or just walking through a city with no fixed plan, I’m always up for an adventure. Looking forward to meeting you and exchanging stories!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of live music, and I love discovering new bands, especially when they support causes like Viva con Agua. I'm also really into electronic music and try to go to as many festivals as I can. One of my favorite websites is "Jeden Tag ein Set" - highly recommended if you're into discovering new DJ sets and electronic vibes every day.
When it comes to books, I read a lot - mostly free eBooks from the Amazon library. I'm always open to new genres and enjoy finding unexpected reads.
I enjoy most types of movies, from documentaries to comedies and everything in between. Always up for a good movie night or swapping recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most memorable times in my life was during my work and travel stay in Eastern Canada. I worked different seasonal jobs and met so many great people along the way. One highlight was a road trip along the coast of Nova Scotia: lots of nature, freedom, and spontaneous encounters that made the journey unforgettable.
Back in Germany, I’ve had amazing weekend trips hiking in Saxon Switzerland. The mix of stunning rock formations, quiet trails, and fresh air always helped me reset and recharge.
I also love long-distance bikepacking – traveling light, being out in nature, and never quite knowing where I’ll end up each day. These kinds of experiences remind me how much adventure can be found in simple things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m new to Vienna, so I’m still discovering the city myself – and I’d love to explore it together with others! I can offer my time, good company, and a curious mindset. Whether it’s wandering through different neighborhoods, visiting museums, trying out local food, or just hanging out in a park with a coffee, I’m always up for sharing the experience. I enjoy meaningful conversations, spontaneous plans, and creating memories with people from around the world.
