PHILOSOPHY

This is how I try to live life: never losing the sense of wonder, stopping, admiring and internalizing every single moment given to us in this existential essay we call life, fully and innocently smiling at how wonderful life actually is. Sharing love with all beings that we encounter in this quest for ourselves, understanding that we are all ONE and that only with LOVE we will able to achieve our purpose in life and truly liberate our spirit and consciousness. Let's live like children. ALWAYS.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to offer everybody who surfs my couch not just a couch but a good vibes filled experience. I truly believe that CouchSurfing is not about a place to stay for free but an opportunity to intertwine with souls traveling the path of our existence. This is what I believe life is about and CouchSurfing is one of the various tools granted to us so we can connect with one another and keep on spreading the love that binds us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nothing but great experiences since I started couchsurfing. I've hosted more than I have surfed, however. The most amazing experience I've had so far was hosting a girl from Puerto Rico who was born -wait for it- on the exact same YEAR, MONTH, DAY and TIME as me! How crazy is that? While she was being born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, I was being born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This is what CouchSurfing can accomplish and what I love about this project: finding each other and acknowledging that we are all ONE.

Interests

I like to spend most of time trying to reach out to people with my music. For me there is nothing more pure and beautiful than touching people through music and bringing smiles to their faces. I believe in LOVE. Not love in the "mortal" sense of the word, or how society has defined love, but LOVE as the immortal energy that binds all of humanity and the reality that we are currently projecting for ourselves. We have come to this world to share love with all beings at every moment. When we fail to love we fail to live, for life itself is LOVE. Music, children, nature and meditation have taught me that and I shall live for LOVE.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I wouldn't exactly call it a "thing" but, to this day one thing that keeps on shaping who I am has been assisting my partner at the time in raising her two beautiful children. I learned what LOVE truly is through them. Life sent me on a different path than theirs but I will always carry them with me as part of my heart and soul. I now walk this path of life because their love created me.

2. Seeing the mountains of Mama Africa for the first time from the beaches of Tarifa, Spain, Europe's southernmost point. It literally brought tears to my eyes and I still haven't had the opportunity to actually step on its soil. I come from the Dominican Republic and am of Afro-Caribbean descent yet I had never felt so close to home... I felt a calling from my source, my origins, my Zion. What will it be like when I finally get to cross the strait of Gibraltar?

Teach, Learn, Share

I wrote this April, 2013. I apologize if it's in spanish, I could translate but it would lose so much of its essence. Anyways, here it goes:

"El trabajo debe de comenzar por nosotros mismos, pero obligatoriamente, para que sea válido, para que sea real, tenemos que compartirlo con más personas. Somos nexos, mensajeros y nuestro trabajo debe de llegar, influenciar, ayudar a otros seres como nosotros para que ellos también puedan esparcir el mensaje. Tanto he hablado de que somos una ínfima parte del Creador y que nuestro trabajo es conocernos a nosotros mismos para que Él también se conozca a sí mismo, para ayudarlo… pero no me había fijado en algo: no basta con llegar a la verdad, conocerla y aplicarla en tu vida. Tienes que ayudar a que otros la entiendan también… y todo de repente cobra sentido; las frases estilo "la unión hace la fuerza" y "el pueblo unido jamás será vencido" (etc., etc..) no son solamente frases para ayudarnos a seguir adelante, son mensajes del Creador implorando conciencia de nuestra parte en este asunto. Por eso las congregaciones, por eso los monasterios, por eso la familia, por eso el grupo de amigos, por eso la vida no es más que una serie de encuentros entrelazados. Porque se nos da la oportunidad una y otra vez de conectar y llegar a la gente, de hacerle saber que hay algo más ahí fuera, que hay seres extraordinarios de luz que esperan por nuestro despertar, recordarles que EXISTE LA MAGIA y que esta magia nada tiene que ver con el conejito que sale del sombrero sino con el AMOR. Estamos aquí para esparcir AMOR, para amar todo cuanto encontremos en nuestro camino y tenemos que entender que sin AMOR nos alejamos del camino de la conciencia y fallamos en nuestra misión reconciliadora con el TODO. Todavía me falta mucho por conocer, por descubrir, mucha gente por amar, pero hasta ahora esto es lo que sé, esto es lo que he aprendido y quiero compartirlo con todos. Porque amo, porque soy mensajero y porque juntos es la única manera en que podremos ser AMOR."
