Hellooo beautiful community of couchsurfers ! Here Jean, a travel lover (surprising I know 😁) and more than everything a backpacker soul ! My first experience with Couchsurfing was when I was 20, when my roommate hosted some travelers in our small student apartment. But it was during my first trip to Mexico at 27 that I started using the app on my own — and thanks to it, I fell in love with solo travel… Because in the end, you’re never really alone, it’s wonderful for making lots of friends in every corner of the world!! It also makes it much easier to access the local culture, get great recommendations, learn languages, and so on… In short, THE app for backpackers!! When I moved back to France these past few years, I enjoyed having extra space in my home to give back the hospitality that was once offered to me. I managed to host several travelers, even though I live outside the city (about 30 kilometers from Lyon), which isn’t the most practical for them. Once again, I met really great people and truly enjoyed those experiences — it felt like traveling without leaving home haha 🌍 I spent most of 2025 in Mexico again (my second home country), and now I’ve started 2026 in Tunisia on a two-month backpacking trip. I consider myself a cheerful, easy-going, very respectful… and clean person! I shower daily — don’t believe the clichés about French people not washing hahaha. I’ve been used to living with roommates almost my entire life, I adapt very easily to any situation, and I hate bothering people — so if you offer me a place to stay, there’s no doubt everything will be smooth and easy 😊 Thanks for reading, hope to see you soon! 🙃🙏 P.S. To the gay community : thank you for your messages, but I’m really not interested... so let’s not waste each other’s time please, and don't forget the main purpose of this application !
