I'm Jędrzej (yen-jay / Andy), originally from Southern Poland but forced to live in default city - Warsaw. I am from one of the most industrialized regions in the world, we love our coal there but fr we don’t eat it for breakfast as some Poles love to say. I can proudly say that my homecity Bytom, especialy the district where i was born - Bobrek is mentioned in all guides about Poland as „no-go area”. I live in Warsaw since i was four though and i love showing the mix of styles and cultures here - medival -soviet - futuristic mix.

I have degree in international relations and I am still studying law at Univeristy of Warsaw. I'm into history, politics, and hiking – I'm also pretty talkative and love having all kinds of chats, especially about cultures, history and weird political systems. My main points of interests are cultures and international relations in Iran, Guatemala and post soviet countries. I know few nice spots in Europe for hiking trips as well.

I love all totalitarianisms, both in life and in politics.

I love nice conversations and firsthand information which hosts or surfers can provide. As well i I made some many friedships through cs and found few travel partners and long-lasting friends .:))

I found couchsurfing as a great way to experience the local culture and customs at its finest in the way which i won’t be able to do so without the app and i feel that without my life both at home and abroad wouldn’t be the same.

I can give you an insight into fucked up history and politics of Poland and whole eastern block (we will try to figure out who hates each other in Slavic world - spoiler alert - almost everybody haha).

I am as well a huge fan of politics of Latin American countries especially Central American ones, specifically about US involvement in countries like Guatemala (i wrote my final thesis about Guatemalan and Armenian genocide . But overall I am keen to talk about any topic because i love to learn and to listen to stories.

I know the best spots in Poland for mushroom picking (national sport here).

As well i know a site with all memes with drunk polish people talking to all kind of animals, especially to beavers.

I have collection of my mom’s homemade vodkas at home, quite impressive one, eager to share ;)

I'm no master chef, but I do enjoy cooking up some Polish and Silesian dishes.I promise to try my best so my grandma won't spin in her grave 🥴🥴
