Yikes. That response rate is really low. We were having some problems receiving messages. I promise we actually do respond. The house is currently under renovations so we portably won't be taking surfers until March. CURRENT MISSION Travel as much as I can and meet nice folks. ABOUT ME I am a director and editor living in Chicago IL. I love to travel but have a busy schedule and don't get to do it as much as I would like. I work in the comedy industry so I enjoy hanging around with people that have a good sense of humor. My favorite thing in the world is having a couple of beers outside with my friends. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Just getting started. We've only surfed/ hosted a handful of times. I have a feeling I should be on this site more. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Got introduced to it a couple of years ago while traveling through the Philippines. It was an entirely positive experience and we are happy to be part of this community.
Music, Movies, and Books
Both us are screen junkies. I am more into movie and Larissa tends to lean towards TV. We both work in the medium so it makes sense. We both really like just about any kind of music. I like country and hip hop a little more than Larissa. She likes more of the indie rock. We both love reading but have slowed down a bit. Stupid computers. We are trying to get back into it. We have a pretty decent library here so feel free to borrow a book. Graphic Novels, Sci Fi, Classics, Comedy. Pretty much anything.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Looked over Victoria falls. Taken a scooter through the Cape of Good Hope. Stayed on a boat for three days in the USVI. Snorkeled around in Palawan, Philippines. Eaten a Chicago Hotdog. Opps that was more than one.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I (jeff) have lived in the city for a while and know the comedy scene pretty well. Larissa lived in Toronto most of her life so can give some advice if you plan to visit up north.
