ABOUT ME

Hi! I am Lena. I am a journalist, a romantic, a traveler, a dancer, a dreamer, a party-crasher, and just a girl who loves life and people!))

ABOUT MY WORK
My job is awesome. I became a reporter at the age of 15, when I was still at high school and my articles were published in small local papers. Since 18, when I entered the university, and up to present I have been working in the all-Russia daily 'Sobesednik', as well as moonlighting in other publications and on websites, some of which are in the English language. As a journalist I have interviewed over 1000 renowned politicians (incl. deputies and ministers), athletes, actors, singers, directors, writers, TV anchors, and scholars. I also make one-of-a-kind 'Journalist tries on a new trade' reports. I've already worked as a clown doctor, a go-go dancer, a bell-ringer on the Kremlin belfry, a glassware buyer, a pawnshop assessor, a strawberry picker, a movie colorer, a moonshine vodka distiller, a friend for rent, and in many other trades.
I also adore traveling. I've been in many towns, for example, I traveled to Russian and Ukrainian hero cities and wrote a series of features devoted to the WWII victory.

Interessen

I like dancing, singing, swimming, cooking, meeting with my friends, going to any parties, walking, hula hooping, listening to the music, reading, taking pictures, playing with my cat, watching football.

As a student I read almost all masterpieces of the Russian and world classical literature. So at the moment I just read newspapers and books in English.

Movies: 'Paris, je T'aime', 'Amelie', 'City Lights', and others.

Music: Wolfgang Mozart, Shakira, Abba, Beyonce, Elvis Presley, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Yanni Voices, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Global Deejays, and many others.

Books: the Bible, 'Daphnis and Chloe' by Long, 'Dombey & Son' by Charles Dickens, and many others.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

For 1.5 years I was a missionary with my Russian Orthodox Church, and I got to live for two weeks in a convent and give sermons and concerts in a prison, hospitals, a mental asylum, a nursery home, an orphanage, a military unit, and other places. That time is unforgettable!))
