Me and my Timorese husband have a house with a spare room or 2. Big and beautiful but basic, there's a bed and a fan and a bucket shower. Also have a 1 year old so have to be okay with kids, but she's pretty cool. Interested in the kind of people who go couchsurfing round these parts and happy to introduce you to others who can show you around. We can teach you some tetum and hang out if we're not working. Apologies but not interested if you're just looking for a free hostel, so please include something personal or interesting in your message.
UPDATE: We have moved to Baucau near Watabo beach with family and are no longer in Dili, but still happy to host. It is a big house with lots of kids and my in-laws can show you how to make coconut oil and tempeh or you could help out in the farm or go fishing.

Haven't had a tv for ages, so not much to write about there. Music tends to be friends' bands these days. Books there's too many to count... Australian history, seafaring tales, biographies, I have a small library if you wish to borrow some...
