Overview
About Me
Micha and me are a VERY happily married couple and there is no ME, only an US. Be aware of that fact when writing a request.
Do me the favour and read my profile and let me know why you chose us as your upcoming hosts.
We are not hosting people who write generic 1-sentece-requests. I'm sorry.
We are living in a small, old (built 1890) house with a lovely terrace and a small, cozy garden which bears a lot of fruit (whatever is in season now, I can tell you) and you are welcome to try anything you like.
As the house is old, the open staircase to the first floor is steeper than you might be used to. You can sleep on the ground floor but need to go upstairs for the bathroom.
We share that house with our 3,5-legged cat who is very lively but very kind. He doesn't scratch or bite unless you REALLY overdo teasing him.
He loves people and is nearly always up for a cuddle.
Since a few months, the neighbors rooster also decided to reside in our garden so be aware that he makes himself known at dusk (and dawn).
PLEASE TRY to contact me a few days in advance of your stay as I don't check my email every day and I'm always sorry to miss an opportunity to host someone.
Still, if I read your request in time, I'll of course gladly host you last minute as well!
CURRENT MISSION
seeing and learning as much about this world as possible
ABOUT ME
We are travelling a lot! So if I don't answer your request immediately, it may be because I am away and have no daily internet access.
Being a lively, curious, very honest and open person, I'm up to almost anything. I don't only want to see, but experience the country I visit and learn as much about other cultures as possible. I would like to show people that not all Germans are grumpy and do complain all the time ;-)
PHILOSOPHY
"Live and let live"
People are different, so let them be different. Don't complain. Try to understand why.
"Man muss noch Chaos in sich haben, um einen tanzenden Stern gebären zu können. "
(One must still have chaos in oneself to give birth to a dancing star.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When you can't travel the world, let the world travel to you.
I hope, I can give many people an insight into my country as well - hosting them or being their host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travelled so much, desperately trying to get in touch with locals to understand and learn about their culture and country. Wondering why I never tried CS before. It is the perfect thing!
Interests
We love to travel and to learn about new cultures and countries. Therefore I read a lot about my next destination and prepare the next trip.
Sport-wise I do acrobatics (handstands and stuff like in the circus). Everybody visiting me can can get a free lesson first hand...

Music, Movies, and Books
We are big Doctor Who fans! We love SciFi and Fantasy movies.
And "The secret life of Walter Mitty": The quintessence of travelling ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been living in Senegal for nearly a a year.
Travelling through China with my husband, speaking no chinese, being practically mute and illiterate was quite an experience as well. And what a great trip that was!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach acrobatics, a bit of german language and cooking. Local culture and folklore is more my husbands domain.
Micha is a pretty decent pool billard player and does longbow shooting once in a while.
What I Can Share with Hosts
many stories about my travels, plus: see above!
