About Me

Hi there! It’s Jer! I’m a passionate traveler with a keen interest in meeting amazing people, especially locals who can offer unique insights into their culture.

I’ve recently discovered Couchsurfing and am excited about the opportunity it offers to connect more authentically with people around the world. Whether it’s a chat over coffee or an adventure off the beaten path, I’m eager to share stories, learn new perspectives, and create unforgettable experiences together.

I rarely go out partying. I prefer hikes, street explorations, and good conversations. I usually enjoy spending time in small groups or one-on-one whether I’m hosting or surfing.

As a SURFER:

I’m seeking a real, authentic travel experience - something beyond the usual tourist spots. I love capturing landscapes through photography and drone shots, especially in scenic and lesser-known places. If you’re able to join me while exploring, that would be amazing! But if not, I’d really appreciate any local tips or recommendations you can share.

Outside my creative side, I love connecting with locals and getting to know their stories because those moments stay with me. I enjoy slow travel. I take my time, soaking in the moment, and building real connections. I’d love to meet your family or close friends if you’re open to that.

When it comes to accommodation, I’m very lowkey. I’m fine with simple setups. Couch, floor, shared room, no problem at all!

I’m also documenting my journey, so if you host me, you’ll likely be part of my photos and videos and I promise, I’ll make sure you get great shots too!

As a HOST:

I usually host friends I’ve met while traveling or people who share the same travel mindset.

I live in the north part of Metro Manila and it’s not the most central location, but if I invite you, I’ll show you around, drive you to places, introduce you to local food, and help you experience the real Philippines.

I believe Philippines best asset, aside from the crystal clear beaches, is its people. When you stay with me, you’ll meet my friends, family, and neighbors. My place doesn’t have a guest room, but you can sleep in my room (with a separate bed) or on a mattress in the living room. Both have AC.

My mom lives next door and often cooks for me and my guests. 😄

Just a heads-up: I have two cats at home, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. 😸

If you’re also planning a trip somewhere in the Philippines and think I’d be a fun travel buddy, there’s a good chance I’ll join you. I’m pretty spontaneous!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the heart of travel lies in connecting with amazing people especially locals. I love immersing myself in new cultures, learning their stories, and sharing experiences that go far beyond the typical tourist trail. For me, Couchsurfing is about building genuine connections, swapping life lessons, and discovering hidden gems only locals can show you.
